Stuart Barrantes, Architectural Associate

“"Architecture relates to the practice of dreaming and creating simultaneously, constantly going from the intangible to the tangible in a motion state of mind."

- Stuart Barrantes

Stuart found architecture as an outlet for creativity. As a child, he was always observing his surroundings with the intention of understanding how they function. This encouraged him to spend most of his time in creative environments, which started with art school, leading him to architecture school, then to an artist’s residency, and back to architecture school.

Once he concluded his graduate program in architecture at Veritas University, he went on to pursue a master’s degree in sustainable architecture at Barcelona University in Spain. So far, this has provided him with the ability to design with a conscious mindset towards nature and the well-being of future generations.

Stuart has put into practice the understanding that everything we build has an impact on the environment and those who inhabit it. When looking for a firm to develop his professional practice, he was in search of a creative place that serves the community in a positive way. He found this possible at RG Architects, a creative environment that is constantly evolving and helping the community grow in an impactful way.

Stuart finds joy in solving problems on the go and developing new ways to see built space. This process helps him focus on his creative flow, allowing him to develop his passion. Stuart seeks to grow with the firm and create healthy built environments for future generations, which have a direct connection to nature and enhances the well-being of those who inhabit the space.

Stuart has 2 years of experience at RG Architects, he has collaborated in projects of small, medium and large scale.
